Healing made Simple

The Bible is clear about unforgiveness. So why aren’t we? We know what we need to do but we continue to hold out secret little pockets of unforgiveness.

The Lord’s prayer says it best: forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trepass against us.

It’s been proven scientifically that unforgiveness causes sickness and disease. In fact, there’s an entire ministry devoted to the study of spiritual roots to disease. It’s fascinating. It’s biblical. It’s true. It’s Be in Health Global.org.

There are amazing, incredible testimonies of healing when people forgive. Like the pastor’s wife with Stage 4 breast cancer in both breasts. When she forgave the woman in her congregation who was trying to destroy her husband’s ministry, and when she forgave her sister, she was healed. No chemo. No surgery. No radiation. Healed by being obedient to the Word of God. It’s that simple.

This teaching of transformation by sanctification brought me back from wandering in the desert for over 20 years. The Holy Spirit breathed new life into me. I got fired up, renewed. Energized all over again.

Yes, it is absolutely completely true that God is sovereign. And there is an appointed time to die. But there are also biblical reasons why people die young. Disobedience to God’s principles. Read Deuteronomy 28 and 29, the blessings and curses chapters. Just because it’s in the Old Testament doesn’t diminish the fact that these portions of scripture are God’s inspired Word.

So all this is to say, I’m back on track. Healing is what I’m excited about. Seeing people made whole by the power of God is the best evangelistic tool there is. Isn’t that what Jesus did? He loved people by healing them. Simple. It drew them into the kingdom. It’s what I want to do, too.

That’s why I wrote the novel, War of Whispers, the first in a series. It’s about the warfare we go through, finding our way toward forgiveness and ultimately, healing.
